Yes,I met Shaikh Ahmed Tijani. I like his talks because he is never afraid to speak the truth.
He always emphasise his love for the Prophet Muhammd (pbuh)openly. He visited Toronto many times and I hope he comes again very soon

  3. Yes MashaAllah there is no doubt about his love for the Prophet (pbuh).
Do you think that the tariqa namely tijaniyya ,he follows is right or is it too moderate ?

  4. By "moderate", do you mean the followers of the Tijaniyya Tariqa does not follow the Shariah?

  5. Well would you consider free mixing following the shariah. From what i have seen and heard Shaykh ben omar does not mind if men and women mix freely.Singing is not wrong and his views about islam are quite differnt to traditional scholars. Im just a bit wary of his particular methods and feel that he is riding on the back of the nmae of the Tijaniya order. The spritual songs he does are very gospel like

  6. It depends what you mean by free mixing. If you mean a woman sitting next to her husband/brother/son or father in a lecture hall. Then I don't see anything wrong with that.
He has attended the International Milaad Un Nabi conference many times in Toronto and the other traditional scholars have shown great respect for him.
    Please explain!!

You have to also understand Shaykh Tijani does a lot of Dawah / coversion in Chicago with with inner city kids. Maybe it is his style to bring people into Islam. We don't know what is in his heart.

  7. By free mixing i mean not a woman sitting next to her family i mean women mixing in with non mahram men.

In his spritual songs he mentions names of people other than the Prophet pbuh,he says its rmembering ancestors who were awliya. He claims to have seen the Prophet pbuh !! Maybe it is me who cannot comprehend his style.

i cannot get my head round all the loud music !

And Allah knows best,May he forgive me if i am wrong in thinking the way i do
